5 Manifestation Methods Using The Law of Attraction

Today I wanted to share with you my favourite Law of Attraction/manifestation methods for bringing your dreams to life.

These are the tried and trusted methods I’ve personally had the most success with so far since discovering the LOA.

(It’s important to note that the LOA is not the only manifestation method/philosophy out there. I’ll touch on some others in future posts – but today we’re talking all things LOA).

What is the Law of Attraction?

If you’re completely new to the Law of Attraction and manifestation, the basic principle is that we attract into our lives what we embody with our thoughts, beliefs and energy.

It emphasizes the power of the mind and belief in how we experience the world outside ourselves.

Our mind is the lens through which we interpret our external reality. By exercising power over our conscious and subconscious mind through various techniques, we can shift our perception and intentionally alter our realities according to our dreams and desires. Pretty amazing stuff, right?

Put simply, every decision we make and each action we perform shifts reality in one way or another.

For example, when we decide to order pizza for dinner, we’re shifting and shaping reality into a world where we had pizza for dinner.

The idea began in our minds → we took the necessary action (ordering online/over the phone) to make it happen → now we exist in a reality in which we had pizza for dinner.

That’s a fairly mundane example, but many people (including myself) apply LOA manifestation methods to things like business and career goals, self development, relationships, health etc.

I even used the LOA to manifest this blog you’re reading right now!

Unconscious Manifestation

I’m actually relatively new to the world of manifestation. It’s been just over a year or so since I started intentionally using manifestation methods in my life.

The shifts and results I’ve seen already have been profound, especially in terms of my personal development and self-confidence.

Also, like most people, I’ve been unconsciously manifesting things basically my whole life. Energy flows where attention goes, even if you’re not aware of it!

Looking back, knowing what I know now, I can identify certain things I manifested without even really trying.

My Experience with Manifestation & LOA

Firstly, I manifested moving to London. In my teens and early twenties, I used to daydream constantly about living in the city. I’d visualize having an incredible view of the city skyline from my apartment, and imagine how I’d feel on the tube excitedly going to meet up with friends.

For a long time, I didn’t think it was really feasible for me. I had it in my head that it would be too expensive and I’d never be able to afford anything like that.

Then, when I was scoping out universities at age 21, I came across a university in London that I really vibed with.

After looking into funding and student finance a little more, it started to feel a bit more feasible and my paradigm of possibility began to expand. My money mindset shifted and I put out an intention to the universe that I would make it work in any way possible.

Approximately one year later, I stepped into my new room in my student halls to the most breathtaking view of the city outside my window. It was surreal.

Secondly – another university related one – I manifested my first class degree!

On the day I got my second year results, I put out the intention that I was going to get a first no matter what. I would visualize and feel the moment I got my results – feeling the tight knot in my stomach and throat.

I’d visualize my mum screeching and throwing her arms around me with pride. Sometimes I’d even whisper-scream by myself to channel that feeling of elation (yes – I really did that). And it all came true this year! Almost exactly how I visualized it.

Even though I didn’t know it at the time, I was actually using one of the most potent manifestation methods there is to attract exactly what I wanted into my life.

Focus On The Feelings

It’s really important to be conscious of the fact that the Law of Attraction is primarily concerned with feelings. It’s the embodiment of positive, desirable emotions corresponding to our thoughts/dreams that attracts more of what we want.

Focus on evoking those emotions – on feeling in your bones that moment of joy/relief/freedom when you finally receive what you want.

Okay – let’s get into the manifestation methods.

1: Visualization

In order to manifest something in your life with the LOA, you first need to be able to visualize it. Can you really imagine yourself with it? What does it look like for you?

Try coming up with a short mental clip of yourself receiving whatever it is you’re trying to manifest. Play it over in your mind a couple of times, perhaps right before you fall asleep.

When you visualize it in your mind, be as clear and detailed as you possibly can.

Really tap into how it feels to have the thing you want. Does it bring you elation? Satisfaction? Freedom? Contentment?

Focus on the feeling behind it; emotions are super energetically potent things. This is what the universe is responding to in the manifestation process – not simply the mental visualization but the feeling and energy behind it.

Once you’ve successfully visualized what you want to manifest, you’re one step closer to bringing it into your physical reality. You’ve sent the message to your subconscious mind and the universe that:

  • you can really see this happening for yourself
  • you’ve viscerally felt what it’s like to receive it
  • you’re an energetic match for the thing you want to manifest

Try not to get too attached to the thing itself. Once you’ve performed the manifestation methods of your choice, release it out into the universe and let it go. You’ll still need to take action in order to manifest successfully, but you don’t need to obsess over thoughts about how or when it’s coming to you.

You’ve sent your order out into the universe – now follow your intuition and take action with trust and patience.

2: Scripting

Scripting is one of my absolute favourite manifestation methods.

I know this might sound a bit strange, but sometimes I almost feel drunk or high after scripting because of the sheer amount of energy it gives me. In a way, I suppose it really is a mind-altering activity!

Putting intentions out into the universe like this is the literal definition of magic. And it definitely feels that way when you’re doing it.

There are a couple of different approaches to scripting, but for me personally I just like to freehand it like a journal entry. I like the freedom and flow of that style, writing from the soul.

I normally start with “Dear Universe” and then begin by thanking the universe and showing gratitude for everything I cherish in my life. Really feel and embody the gratitude when you’re writing out your appreciation; let it pour out.

It’s super important when trying to manifest that you write as though you already have the thing you’re trying to bring into your physical reality. For example, if I was trying to manifest a new car, I’d write out that I’m so grateful for my new [insert the specific car you want here] and all of the opportunities and freedom it has brought me.

The philosophy is that your subconscious mind cannot discern between real and imaginary. So by sending out the message that you already have what you want, you are aligning yourself to match your desires.

This means getting rid of limiting beliefs and blocks around your desired goals and believing that it is absolutely possible and waiting for you.

Literal magic.

There’s also the 369 method. This method involves writing out your desire in the form of an affirmation three times in the morning, six times in the afternoon and nine times in the evening.

It’s all about finding which versions of the method you vibe with most, so play around with them and experiment.

3: Live As If You’ve Already Got It

This method can be thought of like a fake-it-til-you-make-it kind of technique.

The idea being that if you embody the belief and act as though you already have exactly what you want, you’re becoming aligned with it subconsciously and superconsciously.

Therefore, much like with scripting, you’re sending the message to the universe and your superconscious that it is real and true. (For the sake of not making this post incredibly long, you can read more about the superconscious right here).

I like to intertwine this method with ordinary daily life, rather than set aside specific time to practice it. Doing so gives it an extra authenticity and potency; it reinforces that it’s already a natural part of your life.

For example, if you were trying to manifest a particular house or apartment, you could intentionally walk towards that house/apartment when out on your daily walk as if you were naturally walking home.

Or, if you were trying to manifest a particular job, you could send yourself a “Congratulations on your new job” card in the post (signed from ‘the Universe’) and pop it up on your mantle. (I personally love working with greetings/congratulatory cards when I’m trying to manifest – it makes it so easy to evoke those affirming, excitable emotions).

You can also use the “I remember when…” method. If you’re using the LOA to further your self-development and gain self-confidence for example, you could say to yourself “I remember when I barely had any confidence at all, and now I’m so sure of myself and I can do XYZ confidently without a second thought”.

Similarly to positive affirmations (more on those later), the “I remember when” method is great for speaking what you desire into existence and externalizing those intentions. In doing so, you are slowly and subtly shifting reality in line with your specific purposes.

4: Re-Frame Your Thoughts and Alter Limiting Beliefs

A super important part of successful manifestation with the LOA is the removal of limiting beliefs and doubt.

If you don’t really believe that something is possible for you to have or achieve, you will act in accordance – consciously or subconsciously – with that belief.

Yes, you could have doubts and still be pleasantly surprised, but when it comes to setting intentions and becoming aligned with what you want – doubt will really hold you back. It runs counter to the whole operation and philosophy.

In order to re-frame your thoughts and challenge limiting beliefs, you can try a writing exercise to shift your perception.

For example, if “I never have enough money” is one of your fixed beliefs, write it down on a piece of paper. Next to it, write the updated positive version of that belief – something like “I am deserving of money and I am ready to receive abundance from the universe”. See how a negative, restrictive belief is instantly transformed into a positive and expansive one?

We embody our thoughts and beliefs. They have physical effects. If you have ever suffered from depression, anxiety or another mental health issue, you probably know that there are very real physical symptoms that come with having an unwell mind and domineering negative thoughts and beliefs.

Re-framing our thoughts and beliefs in this way impacts how we carry ourselves and how we present to the world. The mind-body connection becomes very visible and visceral.

Like me, you can also use meditation to help re-frame your thoughts and shift your perception.

5: Repeating Positive Affirmations

Positive affirmations are another very subtly potent tool when it comes to altering your beliefs to manifest successfully.

Like I mentioned previously, the subconscious mind can’t really distinguish between real and imaginary. Therefore, reinforcing positive messages in the present tense can shape our subconscious such that it allows us to act and respond in more desirable, actionable ways.

Affirmations such as “I am fully in my power and ready to receive blessings from the universe” or “My confidence has sky-rocketed and now I feel prepared for anything” carry a lot of weight around your subconscious mind.

Affirmations motivate us to act, remind us daily of our goals and intentions, and reinforce the positive re-framing of our thoughts.
